The company was founded in 1960 by Delbert Delagrange and Elmer Yoder, they believed honesty, strong work ethic, and uncompromising building standards were the only way to run a successful business. Carrying on the family tradition, Delbert later partnered with his son-in-law, Gregg Richhart, to form Star Homes by Delagrange & Richhart, Inc.

Following Delbert’s passing, Gregg assumed full leadership in 1994, driven by a passion for exceptional client experience and thoughtful design. Under his guidance, Star Homes continued to grow while maintaining the values it was built upon. Star Homes takes extraordinary pride in its dedicated and experienced team; many have over 30 years with the company.

After 40 years, Gregg has passed on the ownership and leadership while continuing to serve as a mentor and strategic advisor. Alex Miller, business and operations manager, and Justin Doxsee, Gregg’s nephew and Delbert’s grandson, have taken the reins. Together, they serve as owner-operators of Star Homes and the tradition of excellence continues into 2025.

Alex focuses on client experience, operations, and business development, while Justin brings over 30 years of design and construction experience to lead the design vision. United in purpose, they are committed to upholding the longstanding legacy and quality that define Star Homes—delivering a relationship-driven experience backed by proven construction methods and processes.
