The “Pointe”
Clear Lake, Indiana
Exterior
This ultra-modern masterpiece designed by Edward Windhorst and built by Star Homes is situated on a beautiful hillside lot known as the “Pointe” on Clear Lake in Fremont, IN. The cascading landscape pays homage to the original development in 1917 by T.P. Riddle. The lakeside elevation is made up of nearly all glass for panoramic views of the lake from nearly anywhere in the home. It also features a tunnel from the home to the lake for easy access to summer fun.
The roadside (also pictured at the top of the page) features block construction, more glass, modern rooflines, and gorgeous cottage style landscaping that blends seamlessly with the contemporary architecture.
This home is also equipped with a fully furnished Carriage House that sits directly behind the main home. Constructed in 1916, it is one of only two remaining structures from the original development of the “Pointe”.
Interior
This interior photo by architect/designer Edward Windhorst is a picture perfect example of modern living space. Cool colors, clean lines, and open spaces really show off every aspect of the beautifully designed floor plan.
The lower level has everything you could ask for in a recreational space.
The Carriage House has all the amenities needed to make guests feel at home. A full kitchen, cozy living area, and plenty of room to rest upstairs make this a wonderful addition to the main home.
